PVD (PHYSICAL VAPOUR DEPOSITION)
The PVD process is based on the physical principle of the vacuum evaporation of metals (titanium, gold, platinum and others) which, in their ionic state, are condensed, forming a film that deposits on the object being treated.
ADVANTAGES OF PVD TREATMENT
- Extreme surface hardness
- Maximum corrosion resistance: over 1500 hours of exposure in
saline mist without any alteration to the surface (ISO 9227)
- Excellent scratch and abrasion resistance (twice that of galvanic
chroming)
- Fully resistant to attacks by solvents, acids, alkali and limescale
removers for household use
- resistance to UV light: 2400 hours (UNI 9397)
